Abstract

Providing experiential learning opportunities for students can greatly increase their learning. The purpose of this paper is to outline a course-long project, including multiple assignments for use in learning how to, strategically, select candidates for a job. The project requires students to work with an organization to determine their needs and provide real-world solutions for increasing the effectiveness of their employee selection program. The target audience includes undergraduate and graduate students in human resource management courses, particularly, a staffing course. Detailed notes and instructions as well as data on student success is included.
